I have been driving a ford Ka for nearly 4 years now(the only other car was one from the ism)...want to move up in the world but i recently tried driving my bfs car my big huge mazda and i just couldnt get it... the pedals seemed alot looser and gear stick was different and plus the size... i know with practice i will get better but a big argument insued 'if you have your full licence you should be be able to drive any car' i would agree with this to a point.....

or am i just being a typical nervous driver?!!!

Do you have a full license?
Like you said, it's just something that you'll have to get used to. Not every car is the same, in fact they can vary quite a lot. It can take a couple of hours driving to get used to a car, although it all depends on how you are as a driver and what kind of driving you're doing.
If you're willing to practice you can drive practically any car. In the beginning, with little experience of different cars it might seem like it's a massive change, but a bit a practice goes a long way.

I'm sorry, I don't understand your post at all

In general, any 'new' car that you drive (that you are not used to) will feel strange. The gear stick will feel different, the clutch will be different (possibly the biggest difference) etc. However, if you are an expierenced driver, it will only take a few hours (at max) to get used to a different car. Give it a while and you won't even notice any of the differences that you are describing.
