Have you ever been asked to go somewhere but dont want to go e.g. a wedding or a night out and as the time approaches you get a feeling of dread and you woudl make up any excuse just so you wouldnt have to go? At the same time has it ever happened that you have not been invited to an event and yoru saying to yourself why wasnt i invited? I would love to go to that..............

I'm usually the former. Constantly being asked to go to things that I reeeeeeaaaally don't want to go to. It's always in a situation where you've been caught out i.e. they're asking face-to-face so you don't have the valuable few seconds required to come up with an excuse.
I find it especially heart-wrenching when it's happening on a weekday evening, you spend the whole day in work dreading it and when you get home you have to get ready but the whole time you're like "I DON'T WANNA. waaaaahhhh"

I suppose I should be grateful being asked in the first place...but meh, I'm not

This one time, like, Katie had, like, asked me to her party and I was all, like, no way cause she throws the worst parties ever. But then Briana was all, like, no way, Katie's party? Josh is totally going to that so then I was all, like, ohmigod I am so going to Katie's party I am so glad she invited me and stuff. But then Josh got mono, like two days before the party and couldn't go and anyway I heard he was totally getting off with that skank Megan behind the bleachers after football practice last week so there is no way I would touch him now. And I heard that Megan has AIDS too.

So to answer your question OP - yes.

The best thing to do is say you'll go, then fake being sick on the day and bail ;)

This thread would be perfect for a DO NOT WANT! picture, if only after hours allowed inline images :(

"I'm not in the mood" doesn't work if you're asked a week in advance.
Well, it gets you out of going, it just makes you out to be a massive prick to one of your friends (and let's face it, if you're the type of person who'll say this in these situations then friends are a rare commodity.)

Thankfully it rarely/never happens to me though, I generally want to go to these events.

yeah, definitely wouldn't work. i hear there's a date-rape drug that wimmin use on men, called T.I.T.S.

T.I.T.S. apparently work by stimulating the penis via the optical nerve, leading to a rush of blood to the cockal area, enabling wimmins to rape men efficiently.

    Yes and Yes.

If I actually want to go somewhere I don't get asked, but I barely ever go when I do. Which is probably why I don't.

In short, people are cunts. All of my mates are invited to the party of a girl we know on saturday.. not me though :(

Hahaha, I've become notorious amongst a lot of my friends for not wanting to go to nightclubs (hate the fcuking kips). Usually I slip off unnoticed and usually end up in the Fitzwilliam Card Club, playing poker til the wee small hours, and then the next day telling all my mates ''here, I was in the nightclub all night. Where the hell were youse?!'' in an accusatory tone. That's what I always do just dodge out of the thing I don't wanna go to and go to something/somewhere that I do want to go to. :D

This worked out fine until one morning after a supposed night on the tiles, a few of my friends happened to be wandering around Fitzwilliam Square trying to find a taxi, when I appeared out of the casino having been in there most of the night....:o

Not getting asked to go to places you really want to go happens alot - 2 of my good friends and their friends from home went on J1 last summer, they were always going on about planning it and where to go and asking my advice on things before hand. And they kept going on about how they needed more people to go, all the time a voice in my head keep screaming "ask me! ask me!"...:( Would have loved to have gone
