o2 Upgrades?

How do you get eligible for an upgrade on o2? Is it to do with the amount you spend with them or time spent with them? I was with o2 (on a company phone) for 8 months and then switched to monthly pay for the last 2 months.

It's a mix of various factors including your time with them, time since last upgrade, total spend, etc.

Your upgrade status would have "reset" when you signed up to your own pay monthly plan.
