    just looking for some advice...

story is ex us getting married in 3 weeks time. we broke up nearly 5 yrs ago. i was in college here and she got a job in London so at the time we felt it was best to split up rather than long term relationship.

i have known this girl since 8 and we were best friends before in a relationship and still very good friends after we broke up. still chat regularly and all that.

anyway i have been invited to the wedding but have come up with an excuse why not to go. her sister has told me she is really upset as i am one of her oldest friends.
the reason i decided not to go is i am still in love with this girl, or at least i think i am and find it very difficult seeing her with someone else.

should i tell her the real reason that i dont want to go to her wedding? is it too close to the date now to tell her? would this put doubts in her mind, maybe she still has feelings for me and this is why we have always stayed friends?

she seems really happy and i dont want to ruin this moment for her but i just dont know if i should tell her and see what happens!!

No, don't tell her - that would be really selfish. Why have you left it so late? If you really loved her you would have told her long ago and not 3 weeks before her wedding.

She is happy and she is in love with somebody else. Leave her alone.

You're being selfish and not a good friend. Suck it up and go to her wedding and wish her well.

If it were me I would want to know. You never know, sometimes people just end up going with the flow ..get engaged..seemed like it was the next natural step..hey presto get married..

It is very possible she still has feelings for you IMO. If you are going to tell her, do it to her face and DO NOT leave it go any sooner to the wedding date. Decide ASAP whether to or not. Good luck.

Also be aware that you are risking the friendship by telling her..

Do not tell her - it would be pure selfish. You just want what you cant have.

If she wasn't gettingmarried you probaby wouldn't want her at all. As Sarah Sassy said you just want what you can't have.

You would be awlful if your told her.

Let her move on and have her happiness. She is obviously happy and wouldn't be getting married if she wasn;t so leave her be.
