A little story.......

    Hi,
    I am a guitarist from North Co Dublin, been playing for about 8-9 years and learnt from some very talented musicians.
    At the moment I am jobless and i am bored of sitting on my scratcher all day so I want to join a band who jam a lot and play regular gigs as the band im in already all have other commitments.

    My girlfriend is also a very very good singer and she would be able to contribute from time to time.
    I am 19, I play very well, whatever needs playing i can do it, I've been writing songs for years, fast learner, have all my own gear,
    have transport most of the time, Im easy going, up for a laugh but most importantly I am very passionate about music!

    My influences are varied, I love Reggae/Dub, Funk, Soul etc. but im mainly into rock eg. Stoner rock, Electro rock, Classic rock, Heavy rock, Grunge and so on.

    For guitar work a few bands i like would be:
    All the greats- Jimi (duh), Zep, Floyd, Doors, Clapton, Sabbath, Grateful Dead, Stevie Ray Vaughan.

    A few more: Steve Vai, Brian May (Queen), Radiohead, Frusciante, Morello, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Alice in chains,

    Here's a few bands that I like plainly for the music:

    Atomic Bitchwax, Beatles, Bee Gees, The Cat Empire, Deftones, Donna Summers, Drifters, EASY STAR ALL STARS (Animal band), Eminem, Extreme, Flight of the conchords, Funkadelic, George Clinton, Gorillaz, Guggenheim Grotto, Ian Brown, Jeff Buckley, Jeff Wayne, Kasabian, Kings of Leon, Korn, Lenny Kravitz, MESCALITO (myspace.com/mescalitoband), Michael J, Mike Got Spiked, Muse, Newton Faulkner, Nirvana, Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene, Pearl Jam, Police, Portishead, Presidents, Raconteurs, Rage, RHCP, Republic of Loose, Shy Child, Silverchair, Soundgarden, System,Unite Tribe, Wolfmother, and on and on and on! (funny how its alphabetical!)
