    Hi All,
Just wondering about something here, not sure if i've got the right forum?

I own a property which i rent out, myself and boyfriend are currently looking at buying/building our own house.
Since he is a first time buyer if we were to buy a site and build our house on it how would stamp duty work out?
Do you get a better rate if one of you is still ftb?
What are the rates for building or buying land with planning permission?

Having him buy the land is probably the best idea, but you really need to talk to a solicitor, especially if its in his name and you are contributing to it.
