Just recently I turned on the car, clock flashed 0:00 and car was now MPH rather than K's. Set clock and watched it for a week or so and it never happened again .... till today, the clock was gone again this morning. Now the whole instrument panel is gone...completely dark..NADA. Electrics are working elsewhere.

Anybody know of a auto-electrician who can repair something like this? I gather from Renault forums that it happens quite a number of them. I have found place in UK who will repair complete instrument panel but that means removing & shipping the compete panel to the UK.

Am going to call dealer / Renault tomorrow and see what they say but wanted to post here in case of previous experience.

Based in Cork but happy to travel and I know it a Renault what should I expect :(

I took this into local Renault dealer, they wanted €430 to replace all clocks in the dash, As the car was over 5 years old they said Renault would not fix it.

I called KC Systems who can now repair the instrument panel and 24 hours later for €150 job done. Anyone experiencing the same issue should give them a shout.. http://www.kcsystems.ie/

Not affiliated with them in anyway just a happy customer. BTW they also fix keycards, I had my Renault keycard done there before.

I meant to update this post. I got it sorted in Cork for €150 by http://www.kcsystems.ie/home.html he had it turned around in 24 hours an it's worked perfectly ever since. He also repaired the Scenic key card. You can take out the unit yourself (5 min job) and post to him.

I see KCsystems also do repair of Laguna climate control displays. It is common for the display to lose its backlighting and AFAIK Renault dealers will only replace them (for €€€€€)
