Sorry if this is a really stupid question.

If I buy an iPod nano can I just burn my cds to my computer and then put them on the ipod or is the only way to put music on to the ipod is to download songs from itunes???

    Thanks

You can rip (Extract) songs from your CD. It's quite straightforward and only takes a few minutes as a reasonably modern PC.

You can import your music from your CDs into iTunes and then sync them to your iPod . Good luck.

Go with the newer it has a built in video camera similiar to a flip video recorder. as well as a radio that you can pause like very nice improvements.

If you have it spend the extra 30 euro for the 16 Gb model.Good luck

    Hi guys,

Sorry to hijack a previous thread but my nano won't sync fully with itunes. The songs imported from CDs will sync but any downloaded music won't sync - any ideas on how to get them to sync? it's wrecking my head because I don't want to be burning CDs constantly to import the music. Any help greatly appreciated

Make sure that any music you want to sync is ticked.

Put your music in playlists and tick them when syncing with iTunes. With the new iTunes (version 9, download from www.apple.com if you haven't already) you can also sync a whole artist by ticking them during the sync.

Here's a video (it's for iPhone but it's the exact same process for nano and all iPods)
