So I was in the car park before a debs shooting the same old photos everyone always does when I notice a literal wall of people behind me shooting the same group as me. Screw it I think, I'll crouch down and shoot lower. Within seconds I was rewarded!

Two versions for C&C, one in colour and one in a silver monochrome. I'm going to send both versions to the group but I was wondering what everyone else thought was the better version? I think the silver toned one is quite classy but the dresses were so colourful! Any critique at all is welcome, I can't become a better photographer if I don't know what I'm doing wrong :)

This was my first outing with my new 35mm 1.8 lens as well, damn I love this lens! I urge anyone who doesn't have a 35mm or 50mm prime to get one, I can feel myself improve with every shot and running about like a lunatic is such fun :p

Wow I love it, a very alternative view... Although I cannot decide which is best, I like both, sorry.

    Both shots are excellent

    I personally don't like either
Theyre not focused fully and there a bit too 'busy'

but if I had to choose, I'd pick the colour.
(purely because the silver is too dark in the middle)

    I'd prefer the silver.

I vote for #1 as well. Somehow I find the colours distracting.

Definitely the first one! There's something about the shoes/legs crossing and the folds of the dresses on the right hand side I really like :D

Well done for looking for the different shot. I quite like what you have done & I think it almost works. For me the Mono version is better as the colour is too much of a distraction & it takes away from the texture, which is the strongest element.

What Mono Conversion method did you use? I think that the Red Dress has become too dark in the conversion.

First shot by far for me!!! The blur in the second shot takes away too much from the shot whereas it works in #1 :)
