Good place to buy a bike for a triathlon?

Im doing my first triathlon at the start of november and i dont own a racing bike. I only have a big heavy mtn bike and a 70s racer a triumph sportsman would that be any good for the triathlon? Its very heavy and needs about 60quid in parts to get on the road..

My main question to you guys anyway is whats a good bike to start on and wheres a good place to get them CHEAP?... Im a very very poor student.

That one seems fairly reasonable.

Im good at fixing bikes to so i would not be against repair of a 2nd hand bike if any of ya's have one to get rid of.

i seen some nice second hand ones in cycle superstore the other week, of course, being second hand, its hit and miss whether the size is right for you, but worth a shout

if momney was no object, they had some brand new Cube TT bike in, the only way i can describe it, is its like a bike version of a stealth bomber, mad looking!!!
