How much do Rugby players get paid?

I was wondering how much rugby players for Ulster, Leinster etc get paid?

I'd guess your average pro is on about 50 to 80k a year.

The bigger players in the world would be on closer to half a million a year.

Anywhere from 40k to 800k a year. Francois Steyn for example recently signed with Racing Metro on a reported 600k deal dont remember what Carter was being payed by Perpingan but it was high.

Not forgetting sponsors fees from clothing companies etc, apperance fees, free cars etc etc. I thought I read before that BOD was earning about €1m per year or close to that.

Ya thats about right I say.

Most the Irish players are on between 150,000 to 250,000 a year.

But the thing is they get cars and other bits and pieces e.g phones for free which is major plus on keeping much what they earn in the bank.

Its nice money although compared to many other sports its not even weeks wages.

But still would not say no;)
