SpunOut.ie is an independent, youth powered national charity working to empower young people to create personal and social change.

SpunOut.ie is calling for media submissions!

    Topic: The Eradication of Poverty

SpunOut.ie is focusing on this topic in conjunction with the United Nations International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, October 17th. We want to stir up awareness, thought, debate and action about the issue of poverty both in Ireland and around the world. Sure we’re all feeling the pinch of the tightening economy, but can we imagine what it’s really like to be without money for a hot meal, a warm coat, or a visit to the doctor?

We’re encouraging YOU to step outside of your comfort zone. Talk to others, get the facts, hear the stories... and then share with 1,000s of others!

Details: Please submit your original work on any aspect of poverty (informational, interview, opinion, poetry, prose, True Life Stories, whatever you like) via the Media Factory no later than October 13th. Feel free to be as controversial and critical as you like. For questions or editorial support, contact emily@spunout.ie
