Phillips dvd player

    Hi all. I have a phillips dvd player model no. lx3600 d and the display has turned pink! Any ideas how to overcome this.

    That player appears to use component (Y, Pb, Pr) cables, you need to check all three cables are connected correctly.

    Don't worry about the cable or connector colours, you just need to make sure that the Y, Pb and Pr ports on the player are connected to the corresponding ports on the TV, maybe someone accidently re-plugged the wrong cables after using the ports to connect an xBox. If the cables appear to be connected correctly, take away that cable and use any combination of three audio cables with the same phono connectors (colours don't matter) to connect the video ports on the player and the TV i.e. try a different cable.

    If that doesn't resolve the problem, bring the player and the original cable to a friends house and test your cable first with his DVD player and TV. If the cable is ok then swap your player for his, still using your cable. If this combination works then it's your TV that's at fault.
