    Hi,
My Boyfriend received a summons today for both drunken disorderly and abusive behaviour.
Just wanted to know what to expect. Does he need a solicitor and if so how much would you expect to pay and what will happen with the charges.
    Naas, Co Kildare.
    Cheers for the help.

if its his first offence id imagine he'll get a harsh warning and probably a fine. depends on how abusive his behaviour was though...

He absolutely needs to get legal advice on this as he was drunken disorderly and abusive...

Get onto a solicitor now, who can plead his case. If he's very remorseful and this is his first offence, i would expect that he'll probably get the Probation Act (a warning)....also recieving a fine or community service are possibilties.

If it's genuinely his first offence, he should be okay...probably depends on what actually occured.
