BEST Orientation Programme

    Anyone have a clue whats involved in this programme? I'm doin Marketing, Innovation and Technology, and we're down for this for the first 2 days of orientation. :(

    Lots of team exercises like the Business Game. You have a fake company and your competing against your classmates. You have to sort out the budget for this company and look at market demand to see how much to produce etc. Pretty interesting and the winning team gets a prize.

    We had to design a poster about DCU in groups of about 5.

    Erm, can't remember what else. Was 2 years ago now. Do go to it though. You get to meet your classmates and get to know them a bit before lectures.

    its 2 days of team building games....they divide you into small groups of say 5/6 and then you can get to know them and make some friends!:D DONT MISS IT!

    All I've found out about what's involved is mini-companies. I'll head along and see what's what anyway. Should be a bit of a laugh.

    I have to do this programme as well but I don't see what business companies have to do with me being a translator...?

    Its just a method of team building and making a few mates I'd say, doesn't really matter if it has nothin to do with your course.
