    Hi,

I'm looking to up my (or get some) condition next season and I was wondering about buying a Polar CS400 or Sigma Rox 9. They are both a good price on chainreactions at the moment. Also, they both seem to have the ability to progress your training, but do they really? I want to avoid paying to collect a shed load of data with no real direction.

Does anyone have experience of using these and the associated training software? It is any good or would I just be buying another piece of bike candy?

PS. I can't strech to a Garmin, and it's mostly the same routes I ride week in and week out anyway.
