Thinking of heading towards south America for a holiday in January / February. Anyone any advice on where the cheapest flights can be got possibly to Peru / Argentina / Bolivia or similar. I know theres the like of USIT and the sites that go through a few different sites but I’ve always found these more expensive in the past looking for flights to the States and South East Asia.

    Any tips would be appreciated…….

    Hey,

I´m actually doing roughly what you´re talking about at the moment, flew into lima and fly out of Buenos Aires a couple of months later. I found my flights through kayak.com, it searches all airline websites and finds you the cheapest deal, there´s quite a few sites like that but this one seemed to be the best. I got flights including a stop off in new your for the first week which came in a 850Euro, I couldn´t find any cheaper but you never know. Good luck and enjoy the trip.

opodo.co.uk isn't too bad for flights as well as expedia

I'd recommend trying different dates if even only a day or two each side during your search as they can sometimes vary wildly.

it was seven years ago but the best deal i got was by ringing Iberia for a quote (dub-mad-santiago de chile and lima-mad-dub)

I would recommend trying the American Airlines, KLM and Iberia websites directly.

These gave me much better results than search engines like expedia etc. If you want to fly into one city and out of another just click 'multiple destinations' button (I've found that search engines generally don't accommodate for this).
