I wouldn't thought a loom would really be needed. Roll of 7 core would probably do the trick. :pac:

You could try McGuinness outside Collooney in Sligo but dont expect a warm reception. Customer service is not a strong point of his.

Over half of the loom in this is burned out, could be a big job to make up some myself. Got a price of €300 for one but I want to see if I could find somewhere cheaper. Do you have some sort of contact details for McGuinness ??

Anyone have any idea of where I'd get a wiring diagram, been googling it like hell these past few days and the closest I've found was for a 885.

If you get a wiring loom it shouldn't be too hard to replace the existing one. Take lots of photos before you start and you should be fine.

The wiring should be colour coded and hopefully the replacment one should be the same.

post a query here and you might get a response.

or maybe better is this one..

Problem is the whole engine side of the loom is completely burned and there's no plastic on the wires so there's no colours. That's why I could do with a wiring diagram.

TBH on a engine like that there is very little to the wiring.

    Main power to starter.
    Ignition feed to starter solenoid.
    Ignition feed to alternator.
    Battery feed to alternator
    Oil light switch.
    Water temp switch?

I assume there isnt even an elec stop on it.

Sounds simple I know, but when you go at the job it's a completely different story. There's full lights on it to which will require a lot of wiring.

You could try Sylvan tractor parts in Kells, Co. Meath, I've gotten a loom for a 1210 David Brown before and they had a fair few David Browns lying around the last time I was over there, I can't remember how much they charged but I would have made one up myself if it was more than 50 euro so it wasn't to much.

I got the complete loom except the wires going to the back lights, but was able to join them handy enough.

Give Andy a call at Hoey Plant sales Castlebellingham Co Louth 0429372409, he will have it in the post for next day delivery .
    I would guess about €45 .
