    No not another condolence thread..

Just an idea lads, and not even my own.

At the end of Judo practice tonight one of the instructors asked for a moments silence for the late Darren Sutherland.

I thought it was a nice touch and thought I'd throw the suggestion out to you guys here, maybe give the lad and his family a moments thought at the end of your practice this week.

    Darren Sutherland R.I.P.

Darren was my idol before and after his untimelly death, because hes a mixed race irish fighter who made it in Irish amature boxing!...And i know he must of suffered alot of negativety in and outside the ring as i did!... Which is what turned me from the boxing seen!..But Darren made it!..In my oppinion he could of been one of the best irish fighters of all time, if not the best of all time!...And his stile was more suited to pro boxing aswell....You are my idol Darren an my brother of mixed cultures!....Your in our hearts always!

He aspired my little cousin(14) to take up boxing when everyone had boxing fever during the olympics. He then went to see him a times in DCU and in Dunboyne were Darren repeated the leaving cert (my cousin goes to that school) and got his autograph and photo with him, it's now framed in his bedroom.

Since then boxing has made him more confident, lose a lot of weight and more focused becoming a better boxer. I have never seen someone training 7 days a week in any sport at that age.

Rest in Peace Darren, you will be remembered.
