Any paticular reason for this? any easy cure? My Ma really would love to see Late Late etc as she used to be able to do. I dont go there but would love to understand why this has happened. I suspect it must be down to new card issue. All help appeciated.

Where is the new white card?

    Is she getting RTE radio?

Nah, Blues are still working away and updating regularly so that's not her problem.

Well it will be shortly as Sky are issuing everybody new cards. I got mine at least 2-3 months ago. Surprised if you have not received one as yet. Have you checked her post in Ireland ? Also Spain is a pain as regards picking up Sky. Usually a rather large dish is required. Try doing a reset of the box.

She is getting the radio, she has not being issued a new card as when it was installed the card I think was supplied with the box, and is probably issued under a false name. Legally no-one in Spain should access SKY but of course everyone does albeit using bigger dishes and fictious names for registering the cards. Also it seems that everyone in Spain has lost RTE signal but I am confused as to why it is only the Irish channels.

    Thanks for your inputs though,

    BB

Please tell us your dish size as thats crucial?

I can pick up RTE radio one (international version) crystal clear in Costa Blanca and also Newstalk radio and that can even be picked up on an 80cm dish as its beaming from the stronger Satellites (not astra)

If you have an Irish Sky card you can also pick up crystal clear 3e which is hany out there as it shows Coronation Street which is nice :o

My brother called me last night to say that he installed his new card, but is only able to recieve fta channels. He left spain in june and is only returning now,I have asked him to talk to other irish ex pats out there to see if they are experiencing similar problems.Would they have altered the footprint?
    He lives in Marbella country
I am going out there on monday and am considering bringing my box with me and if that dos'nt work, we will know the ex pats have a problem or not with their new irish card
Have people heard of any problems out there with the new card??

    Hello everybody,
I'm just outside Barcelona (30 K) with the new irish card.
I have a 90 cm offset dish with a "Smart" universal LNB.
I get all the Irish TV stations (well I don't have subs for 3e).
It's been fine all summer no issues.
I don't watch a lot of TV - but whenever I've turned on the TV it works. Some times I have issues receiving the Military channel (531) but I'd say a larger dish would sort this.
    Hope this is of assistance.
