Ok, this may seem completely off the wall, but has anyone ever seen any sort of device or project, which would take an incoming call from one of those door phones in an apartment and send it out to your mobile.

So basically if someone buzz's your apartment, the call (conversation) gets forwarded to your mobile phone, even when your not in the apartment?

Was doing a little research of this and thought people might be interested in what I found.

    I came across this:
    http://www.cordless-phones.uk.com/electronics/video-door-entry-systems/siemens-gigaset-hc450-intercom

It is a Siemens DECT doorbell. When someone rings the doorbell, it rings on all the cordless phones in the house and you can answer the call and talk to the person at the door.

If wired up you can also unlock the door from your cordless phone and turn on a light.

It can also forward the calls to you mobile and you can even unlock the door over you mobile. Very nice.

This is almost what I'm looking for, but not quiet.

There was a demo/review of the Siemens solution you mention on the Gadget Show on Five (FTA channel) last night when reviewing house security solutions.

Also related is their review of an IP webcam that emails pictures to you (mobile phone or whatever) when movement is detected.
