Hi all, I've just been reading through some of the messages here, and there has been some great advice.
I myself have just recently split up with a lovely man, I don't think he was ready to settle although he is far older than I. I'm 33 and thought that I had finally found someone I was at ease with, felt like I'd known him all my life even in the early stages. Unfortunately, he wasn't on the same page as I was.
Now the rub. I'm back to thinking that there's no-one out there for me. I can't see myself dating again because it just seems to be the same old blah over and over. I suffered from depression during my twenties (thank god I got through it : ). However I have my down days when I see all my friends paired off and I feel that I'm being punished for having a negative attitude during that time period. I know it's silly, and it slightly undoes the hard work I put in to achieving a healthy mindset, but it gets to me sometimes.
So I'd like to know if there's anybody out there in the same boat, or were you in the same boat? What are/were your coping strategies? I'd also like to hear good news stories if you have them, I've always got time for good news : )

    Hi,

The best way to handle a break-up is to move swiftly on, which makes sense. However, how do you do this? Firstly, erase all forms of contact with this man, and don't ever reply to or even read any message that he sends to you. He's in your past, and that's where he shall remain Secondly, you might be feeling a little 'lost' at the moment, and therefore you will need yuor friends to remind you how to have fun while being single again. Even if your friends have partners, Im sure that they will remember how to have fun as a 'singleton'.

    Kevin
