    Ok,

    Well i'm turning 17 in october and have my heart set on joining AGS i'm currently in my l.c. year . So if they begin recruitment in November can i apply because between the interview the apptitude and the medical it would nerly take a year so all going well i would be 18 and have completed my l.c. by the time it comes round to phase 1 in templemore so could i apply ?

    As far as im aware you would need to be 18 on or before the closing date of the recruitment.

    Besides your age, you also need to have your leaving cert completed on or before day of interview. Not sure if you need it to sit the aptitude but you definitely need to have it for your interview because you have to hand it to the people in PAS, at least thats the way it was when I had my interview anyway. You'll probably already have your leaving cert done and dusted by the time it comes around again by the looks of things so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

    Go have a look at the FAQ thread. Entry requirements are all in there. You must be 18 with leaving cert completed (and passed) to apply. If I remember correctly we had to bring copy of actual Leaving Certificate as well as Birth Certificate, photo ID, signed passport photos and letter confirming date for aptitude test.
