confused about fees this year

    HI there,
Im really confused about having to pay my fees this year. I've already completed a year in DIT so I'm not eligible for the free fees scheme this year, however I accepted a place in CS and thats almost 7000 of fees, however theres been nothing sent to me about this! On my portal page I requested to pay my registration fees by bank giro, then finally found an option that quoted the fees including the programme fees however when both bank giros arrived they asked for just registration fees and one originally had the full cost but was crossed out and replaced by the just the reg fee.

I've tried calling the fees office but cant get through. Should I just pay what I was asked for or transfer the whole amount in regardless? I thought I would've been sent some info about the fees as I only know the amount to pay but searching for it on dcu.ie

    thanks

Hi, I am also a bit confused about my situation with regards to fees. I did first year of Business studies in NCI but got a distinction so was accepted in to 2nd year of Business studies in DCU. Anyway I am on the grant so all I had to pay was €38 for registration, but when I try to register online there is some figure of about €3500 owed. Since I am not repeating a year, I assume that fees are waived in my case right? Sorry OP, I am not trying to hijack your thread but I cant get through to fees office either. Can anybody please help with the above queries?
    Thanks

    hi lastdaysofdisco,

If you know you are definately liable for the fees there is nothing to be gained by not paying them I would transfer the amount it says you owe on your registration page.

    Hi Robbie444

Have you brought proof of your grant into DCU fee office so they can set you up on the system. They do not know your entitled to a grant until they receive notification from the local authority.
