Mods - feel free to move this to whatever forum you like but I believe it is a Dublin County South issue.

As I was out on my bike yesterday, I came across this graffiti beside the church on Belgrave Road, Rathmines.

Since when do CIRA have any clout in this area?

I also find it quite funny that they can't spell a word a seven year old could spell.

I think your reference to a seven year old child is appropriate.

    lol @ the spelling though.

AFAIK Ógra Shinn Féin wrote graffiti up on the boarded-up section of Thomas Cook on Grafton Street a few weeks ago, something along the lines of

    "Victory to the worker's"

I would have liked to put the word "managers" after it ...

Spelling lessons aside, it's quite funny that they would even contemplate thinking that the area is their stronghold. It may as well have been signed by a few librarians or postmen

Just kids and wannabes who wrote that OP

I can think of a few places around Dublin with CIRA written on the wall.
It's the local youths who do it

Probably wouldn't know what county Coleraine is if you asked them

Thomas Cook have announced plans to close its operations in Ireland. Staff will lose their jobs. Families will suffer.

This is despite the fact that Thomas Cook Ireland is still operating at a profit. Thomas Cook announced record profits just six months ago and predict profits this year of over 4 million Euro!

Manny Fontenla-Novoa, CEO of Thomas Cook, recently received a 34% pay rise and a 7 million Euro bonus. This was his reward for boosting profits by making over 2,000 low paid workers redundant across the UK. Now he wants to do the same to his loyal Irish staff.

it was part of a protest that was a pretty noble cause mate

sorry to burst your bubble ,but thomas cooks reason for pulling out is because they lost over one million euros last year in ireland, if the company had been still making money there would have been no shortage of buyers, you do not prop up a ailing branch of a company in this day and age
