Folks ... Movember is upon us once again. That means, for the second year running, our colleagues in the Facial Hair and Hats forum are running with Team Moards. It also means, for the second year running, I will be growing a Trucker to raise money for a worthy cause, tackling prostate cancer.

If you have no idea what Movember is ... see below. This is the blurb you get when you register.

I am growing a moustache for Movember this year and am looking for Mo Bro’s and Mo Sistas to join my team.
Movember is about having fun, growing a moustache and raising much needed funds and awareness for men’s health – specifically prostate cancer.

What many people don’t appreciate is that men have a 1 in 12 chance of developing prostate cancer during the course of their lifetime and that prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men, after skin cancer in Ireland. Facts like these have convinced me I should get involved and I am hoping that you will support me.

The more that join us, the more we can “change the face of men’s health” through raising awareness and the money that will be raised. Let’s do this – register and grow a moustache as a Mo Bro, or sign on as a Mo Sista.

Both are good options. Did you do the trucker last year? I can't really remember.

I'm thinking a modified "gringo" ... which is basically the common or garden "gringo" with a tickler.

The trucker was great ... but maybe it's time for a new look

has anyone else noticed the number of blokes going around with mo's at the mo......

it's almost like a deleted scene from Fight Club. I'm meeting random blokes in the street, both sporting a mo and there's that subtle head nod, because we know, we know, that this is Movember and we're in the club. I spent all of yesterday in a big Dublin hospital, and had such moments with 5 people.
