AVCHD can it be played on an Apple Mac Pro laptop?

imovie will import the movie from this camera. I have the HDC-SD9, the predecessor and it's great. would love this camera.

as far as i know it will import them but it will automatically convert them to whatever the mac format is i cant remember it right now so it will take longer iv read on other forums 50-75% longer

also you might want to look at the sony cx-100 / cx-105 its tiny cheap and hd and i think their might even be a newer model out or coming out soon

I have the very sam camera.. VLC will play raw files straight from Camera.
