    Morning,

The cycle to work scheme has just been announced here this morning. I bought a bike at the start of the year, but now want to sell it and get a better one through this scheme.

Does anyone know what shops in Dublin buy second hands bikes????

    Thanks

AFAIK stagg cycles in lucan will take trade ins but you're probably better off selling it yourself

You can't buy a 2nd hand bike through the scheme, it has to be new.

Ignore that, I see you're trying to sell a bike not buy one.

I suppose I should have read it more thoroughly.

Humphries Cycles in Finglas would take it as a trade in , not many shops if any will just buy it

and for €285 aswell , im sure its worth it , the problem is most people buying 2nd hands just want a cheap bike , if u say this is 285 they'll just ask how much is a new bike etc

also most of the people we have looking for 2nd hand bikes are foreign nationals who frankly wont spend f all on a bike , cheap as possible

now as a trade in , you wont get 285 off a new bike as we'd still wont be able to sell it for 285

    most places might offer 100 - 150
