Was driving the N3 late on Sunday night/Monday morning, and between Dunshaughlin and Dublin there was a speed camera that looked like it had been firebombed. Cops were on the scene. Anyone else hear about/see this?

Seems to be a new trend after the Cork incident a few weeks ago.

The one on the N2 has been burnt out for well over a year. The one on the old N1 has been gone for years and the one off the M1 towards Drogheda went recently enough.

Can't imagine there are that many left working at this stage.

Remember not to throw the fire bomb to fast, otherwise you risk having your photo taken ;)

In the UK the preferred method is a car tyre over it filled with petrol ... I dont know would a molotov cocktail do much of anything to them....

Unit on the N3 between Navan and Kells has been burnt so many times they gave up repairing it (for now).

Personally I prefer the people that fill them with that expanding builders foam....

    BRILLIANT IDEA!!!

All you need is a 6-8mm hole drilled and empty the FULL tin into it! Very quickly done and it would destroy it. Hopefully it gets infront of the main camera lens!
