My third round of golf. It was a short par 3, but they all count :)

Two holes later, I recorded a nice 11 just to keep my feet on the ground :p

Congratulations. You know that great feeling that washed over you as the ball fell in the cup? Trust me - you'll feel it every time.

    Where were you playing?

snap!! I got mine on a par 4 on sunday in Ballymoney. 2x 4 irons to the short cut just off the front of the green and putted about 30 yards. it was sweet. some feeling. :D

then to balance the equilibrium of the universe it took me 5 shots to get off the next tee box and I scratched the next 3 holes

Hollystown. Not exactly Augusta, but a very enjoyable morning's play!

Ah yes ... the first glimpse of what may be possible. If you can hit one good shot or play one good hole then it's in you to do that more consistently. Becoming skilled at golf is all about being able to do deliberately what we initially do by accident. It's a crackin' journey so enjoy it.

Playing golf 13 years and never had an eagle  .

Holed a wedge from 100 yards once but I was after duffing my 2nd shot.

Had an eagle on the 16th in Mitchelstown Co. Cork if anyone is familiar. Drove out over the hill and hit a 9 iron from 150m into the hole..
Only happened a few weeks ago but it's the best feeling ever

    Great shooting.

It's my home course but I'm only a beginner so only played it twice so far. That really is a great score on the 16th. Those trees to the left have given me trouble both times I've been there.

Hit par on the 4th though, absolutely love that hole. It's such a dilemma whether to go for the green on the second shot. I didn't have the confidence that day so laid up and had a nice par putt. The second time I played it I fluffed my lines and missed a very handy par putt.

Only one birdie on the card so far, at Carrigleade in Carlow, three of us hit our first birdies at the same time. :D

Some distance with a 9 iron.

For some reason I have serious distance with my 9 iron and 3 wedges.. Every other club is pretty much the same distance as your average player..

Didn't spot that! I can hit mine 150 metres too but off the bottom of the club and about 8ft off the ground into the rubbish behind the green... on the level I'd use a 9 from 125 yards (115m)
