RIP Darren Sutherland

Really sad news. DCU student and Olympic bronze medalist Darren Sutherland was found dead in his London apartment this afternoon. http://www.rte.ie/sport/boxing/2009/0914/sutherland.html You may remember he made his pro debut in the DCU gym only a few months ago. RIP :(

This is very sad news. Never, ever nice to hear of a student's passing, especially one with a potentially good career like Sutherland. Massive shame.

Depression, the usual cause of suicide. He had admitted to being very lonely in London. Only a few days before his death he broke down and admitted how he had been feeling to his trainer.

It's incredible sad, hard to beleive
