It's called Prosecco and it's from northern Italy.

The grape is Prosecco and doesn't vary, but there are many brands.

Widely available and should cost €10-€20.

Prosecco can be good value as it is classified as a still wine despite the fact that it has bubbles. Therefore a lower duty rate applies.

A good prosecco will cost €12 - €15. No particular brands / names come to mind but just ask in the wine shop.

Aldi have a fairly drinkable one for about €9.

I like prosseco, it tends to be a pleasant fruityish style, not as dry as Champagne but is usually veryy pleasant, i dont think ive seen any that were stronger than 11% vol alcohol, they all seem to be at that strength, but again its a nice value alternative as a sparkler.

usually decent ones around E14 from what ive seen

    no :D
the best Italian prosecco is from valdobbiadene (the DOCG is called conegliano and valdobbiadene), I wouldn't buy other prosecco that comes from other places.

I picked some up in Asda for around £5-6 - very good it was too.
