Open 2 accounts, get paid into 1 account (this account should have no ATM card) and set up a standing order into the 2nd account which does have an ATM card.

You can choose the amount and fequency of the standing order.

    How will that help ?
I think they mean they are running out of money before thay get paid each month.
You could ask for a short term overdraft - or apply for a credit card?

Ya thats it Im only starting the job so will find it hard to survive a month without money and this will have a knock on affect on each month:( Would an o/d be the best soloution? How much of one could i get???

A credit-card or an overdraft will provide you with a bit of liquidity until you get on your feet with a system like amcalester mentioned above, assuming you're reasonably ok with money.

Its depends how much of an overdraft you can get usually the bank decides based on income. I have one of 1500 and thankfully have used it very little. An overdraft should only be a short term solution as you will be charged interest for using it.

If you have outgoings that need to be promptly paid i.e. rent and bills an overdraft would be a good short term solution. My personal advise would be reduce any unnecessary outgoings until you can comfortably keep an + balance in your account.

If you can get a credit card with 0% for a couple of months this could also be an option. You will still have to make minimum payments every month between 3-5% Dont take cash as you will be charged the high rate. The thing is if you will be charged stamp duty on the card.

Hi there-~I get paid monthly hard at the beginning. I just kept cost down for a month or too as in my saving and just paid what needed to be paid. Credit Union for a small loan if you get stuck as you can pay over a year- u get the drift but at least just to get your buy. Plus if any overtime is going take it, it will stand to you at the end of the month. Don't use the Credit Card as you'll end up oweing your wages to that-lived and learned.

trouble ahead indeed. so you reckon you have enough to get by @ 300 a week, but cannot manage getting paid once in a month. you need to learn to budget your money. seriously. I would avoid O/D and CC at all costs. Learn how to allocate yourself a set expenditure each week out of your monthly pay. you will get used to it very quickly. getting a CC or OD will never teach you this skill and will only get messy. believe me.
