I bought a 3V voucher a while ago, not realising that they expire as quickly as they do. The online vendor ran out of stock and while I was waiting, my voucher expired. Now I know I can't use the voucher anymore, but can I still get a refund. If so, how is it done? Do I have to go to the bank or do I go to the Payzone outlet? Thanks.

    From their website

    https://www.3v.ie/about_3V_vouchers.html

    About 3V Prepaid Vouchers

    *

3V Vouchers are disposable prepaid VISA numbers that can be used to shop online, via mail order or over the telephone just like using a standard credit card.
    *

3V Vouchers can be purchased by everyone aged 16 or over who has the use of a mobile phone and an email address. They allow you to shop safely and more securely without needing a credit or debit card or even a bank account.
    *

3V Vouchers allow you to shop online safely as the expiry date and CVV2 code for each Voucher are delivered to your mobile phone or email when you buy a 3V Voucher.
    *

3V Vouchers are printed onto a paper receipt and are as easy to buy as mobile phone top ups. They can be bought from participating Payzone retailers. Find your nearest retailer.
    *

3V Vouchers are available for values of €20, €30, €40 etc., up to a maximum value of €350. There is no purchase fee for €20 3V Vouchers. The purchase fee for 3V Vouchers with values from €30 to €100 is €2.50 and for all 3V Vouchers with a value of more than €100, the purchase fee is €5.
    *

Every 3V Voucher has its own unique VISA number. When you provide a VISA number for a transaction, there must be sufficient funds available on that 3V Voucher to pay for that transaction.
    *

You can make as many purchases as you like with a 3V Voucher as long as you do not exceed the available balance on that 3V Voucher.
    *

Otherwise, you can transfer funds from a 3V Voucher to an unexpired Voucher using the Online Customer Services section of this site. There is a charge of €2.50 for each transfer. The 3V Voucher from which you take the money must be active, or be within two months of its expiry date and the balance of the 3V Voucher that receives the money cannot exceed €350.
    *

To redeem any remaining funds on a 3V Voucher, sign on to the Online Customer Services section of the site. There is an administration charge of €5.00 for each Voucher redeemed.
    *

There is a commission charge of up to 1.75% of the transaction amount for non-Euro transactions.
    *

3V Vouchers should not be used for any transaction where the merchant expects to receive a credit card from the customer, such as hotel check-in, paying when you pick up rental cars or collecting tickets.
    *

3V Vouchers cannot be used on gambling sites.
    *

3V Vouchers are brought to you by 3V Transaction Services Ltd and issued by permanent tsb in association with VISA.

You can always buy another €20 and transfer the funds from the other voucher for a fee of €2.50
