I'm going to go sort that stuff out this weekend, there are some weird stuff on that list, a junior hack saw?! My friends were all like 'What's gonna happen when there's a party in your flat and someone finds your saw and starts cutting your bed in half?' :p

    Hey guys,

I just saw your questions about core and I thought I'd give you a little tip! When it comes to the list of supplies, just get the basics at first, like pencils, paints etc, and if you're coming straight from school wait til you start college before you buy most of your materials, because once you get your student card you get 10% off in most art shops :) buy things as you need them, I know I got a hammer and have never actually used it :P and there's a shop (A4 Art) 2seconds from college that has everything you need anyway, so you can always pop out and pick stuff up at lunch time if you're stuck!

Those art history books are also not really necessary. There's usually signs around the college from people selling theirs off second hand which is much cheaper, not that you'll probably use them anyway! The lecturers just encourage you to read them during your own time but you never, ever bring them in :P

Anyway I hope you're all really excited about starting! Core is amazingly fun, you'll love it :)

    3rd yr student!
