Following the creation of the Environmental Pillar of Social Partnership, environmental representatives will be included in the next round of Local Authority Strategic Policy Committees (SPCs).

Members of environmental groups willing to volunteer their time and knowledge to sit on Strategic Policy Committees as representatives of the Environment should consult http://www.environmentalpillar.ie

There is an urgent need for volunteers in the following areas:

Carlow
Cavan
Laois
Leitrim
Longford
Louth
Monaghan
Offaly
Roscommon
Sligo
South Dublin
Waterford County
Waterford City
