Sendit - Haven't got items....

    I ordered a Wii Fit on 19/08/09 and got dispatch notice that same was sent on the 20/08/09. I also ordered Deadwood-complete series 1-3 on the 26/08/09 and got dispatch notice to say that was sent on the 27/08/09 To date (and the post van just left!!) I have not got either item. I have contacted sendit's customer service about 9 times for the Wii fit and got 2 responses overall, which haven't really explained what is happening-

    This was the first one, which was a bit stupid considering it was supposedly already dispatched

    Firstly I would like to offer my personal apologies for the delay in getting back you.

    Please be assured that this is not typical of the level of service that we offer. I have telephoned through to our warehouse within the last couple of minutes to find out what has happened with this order.

    This item would have been sent out to via DHL, therefore it will have a tracking number and we should have been notified of any reason why they are unable to make delivery.

    I have asked for a full response today, I will contact you again as soon as I receive an explanation and confirmation that the product is on its way to you.

    Anything I have ever got from sendit (or any of thehut group sites) was never send by dhl before and surely if it was sent out by dhl it should be easily trackable? I also have gotten items that I have ordered from thehut group's website as late as 5/9/9, which is making me more concerned.

    I have contacted them about 4 times about the Deadwood box set and have not received a reply.

    In all my years of internet purchasing, nothing has ever "disapeared" like this on me.

    Just wondering did anyone else have a similar experience with sendit(or any other thehut group sites) and what the outcome was. (And I'm not talking about the delays in dispatching stuff-well used to that!!) Just really teed off now as the wii fit is now cheaper than I paid for it.

    They replied to me regarding both matters just now-
    I am really sorry that you have not received this item, typicall we do not ship electronic goods to the South of Ireland.

    However as this item was initially shipped to you in error and you have not received it, we are in the process of arranging a replacement for you. This will be sent out to you within the next 24-48 hours.

    The product will be with you within 3-5 working days following despatch.

    I note that you have also notified us that you have not received your order for [+] Deadwood - Complete Seasons 1 - 3 [Box Set] [DVD. We would have expecetd you to have received this item by now, due to the value of the item, please may we request that you complete the self declartion form that will be sent to you by email tomorrow morning and return to us by fax or email. We can then arrange a replacement for you.

    I never had a problem with them before, and have ordered box-sets which were much higher in value than the Deadwood collection and got them no problems. They must never have sent out the wii-fit board at all, as they now say they are dispatching a new one. Grrrrr.
