    Hi,

I am closing my limited company and it's time to place an ad in the paper.

Can anyone recommend what paper i should place the ad in ? I guess there is a small difference between prices ?

Any links and price guides would be great :)

Thanks in advance for any tips.

I could be wrong but dont have have to have a broadsheet (which limits you in terms of selection)....if not then it would be possible to print in a red-top and any possible creditors would most unlikely to find it.

I would guess Irish Examiner would be cheapest. (Broadsheet)

The Daily Mirror charge €180 i think. Not sure about any other papers. Would be interested to see the different rates listed there though.

You have to publish it in a 'National Newspaper' - one that distributed nationwide. There is no stipulation to publish it in a broadsheet.
Ring the tabloids - they are normally cheaper. Ring the D Mail as well - cheap enough rates.

The newspaper options on CRO's H15 (Strike off) form are:

    Irish Independent
    Irish Daily Mail
    Irish Times
    Irish Daily Mirror
    Irish Examiner
    Irish Daily Star
    Evening Herald
    The Sun (Irish Edition)

We have used the Star in the past as it was the cheapest around €250. However we have used Kearney Curran for the last few as they offer to strike off a company for €199 incl Vat which includes the ad in the newspaper. Check out www.kearneycurran.ie

you will have to try www.mystrikeoff.com
they charge €99 plus vat and they are very helpful and provide a good service. the reason tehy can charge so little compared to others is because they group a number of notices in one add which is perfectly legal
