Old 80's video like the Frog Chorus

I was re-introduced to Paul McCartney's Frog Chorus today, and it reminded me of a video that RTE especially used to play every now and then when they had nothing else to show. Specifically I remember it playing just before Network 2's showing of Jim Henson's Labyrinth (around 87 or maybe 88), because we had set Labyrinth to record and the video started recording properly, but for some reason Network 2 put on this video before it, causing us to restart the VHS recorder and miss recording the first five minutes of Labyrinth.

My memories are vague, but I believe it was a frog walking (on his hind legs) through a woods, singing in what I think was a smooth voice. Then as he walked, other animals started singing with him - the Frog Chorus reminded me of it because I think there were other frogs singing with him, and I may be wrong but I have a vague impression that they were singing something along the lines of McCartney's classic. Specifically I think I remember the frogs in that video doing the deep "Bom, bom, bom!" that they sing at the start of the Frog Chorus.

If anyone knows what I'm on about and can give me a name or any more information, I'd appreciate it. I remember as kids we were so annoyed when it came on when Labyrinth was due to air because we'd seen it several times already - RTE used to play it every now and then. All I really remember for sure was this frog walking through a wood, singing, then animals joining him...

Just a punt, but it's hardly this song. Were the lyrics about a frog as well or was there just a frog in the video. I think there's a few different videos with this song that have a frog as the song is, well, about a frog.

It could be Love is All from the Butterfly Ball by Roger Glover. Vocals by Ronnie James Dio.

I think that must be it... it has what I remember, the frog walking on his hind legs, singing as animals follow him into the forest. The song itself isn't as familiar to my mind, but I must have somehow mixed childhood memories of that video with McCartney's Frog Chorus. Unless anyone can think of any other video it might be? But I don't think so.

    Cheers, Mike65! :D

We too had the video recorder set earlier to record The Labyrinth. But this is the cartoon i remember being on before the movie. No doubt about it

Wow, really? I have no memory of that video at all. I know I've definitely mixed the Frog Chorus music with the Love Is All From The Butterfly Ball video, but I don't remember anything of that video. The coloured, circular lights that fly around give me a very vague impression that I may indeed have seen it, but the rest of the video is new to me.

Was it really shown before Labyrinth? I can't remember what time Labyrinth was due to start but back in the eighties, but before the premiere of a children's fantasy film, I can't see RTÉ playing a German music video that features women's naked torsos flying around the screen...

    It sure was.
Growing up in 2channel land that video was watched over and over. So it's engrained(sp?) on my brain.

If I recall, it featured in the 'Rupert the Bear' movie and the song is called 'We All Stand Together'

or as it appear in the movie

in hindsight I'm not 100percent sure that's the one you're referring, but it does contain the 'bom bom bom'
