    Hi all,

Thinking of getting a new bike to cycle to work with.

    Have you any suggestions??

I was looking at this one but I have never heard of the name before and I am suspiscious that there is a good deal of a discount on it.

Maybe its an old model (Not an issue) or its rubbish in which case it is.

    Thanks

BH is a pretty well respected brand (ridden, as it happens, by our national champion).

I suspect that the discount has a lot to do with the bike being 49cm and therefore only suitable for small people - not sure how small, maybe ~5' to 5'2 ish? Have to look that up.

The spec looks OK to me for the money but I think it's wise to ask this on anyone buying a hybrid:

ARE YOU SURE YOU DON'T WANT A ROAD BIKE?

Seriously, it seems everyone who buys a hybrid (and uses it!) ends up buying a road bike the following year.

Or converting it (at a fairly high cost) from a road to hybrid like I ended up doing.
Basically if you're only going to use it for going to work and back then a hybrid is ok, but if you're planning on using it to keep fit too then definitely road bike all the way.
