Bloody hell this news wont help the SP much!!..you got any opinions on where Elan is headed? I own a few of these but intend selling soon, i just cant see where they are going, To me they are only a puppet for J&J and Biogen to play with!..

It looks like they have sorted out the contract with J&J to keep Biogen happy!..share price has not been affected at all and has only risen thanks to the good news on the contract. I was just wondering tho, J&J have paid $885 million dollars for ..18.4%, done a few rough calcs and that would mean (only rough calcs now) J&J value Elan at approx E7.92 could somebody please correct me if im wrong??..

Ya i have been watching elan daily myself over the last 6-8 weeks. They were around E3.85 a couple of weeks ago after bad news in relation to PML but have been climbing ever day consistantly since then and even more so in the last week.
The released their end of year results around the third week of January last year (if i am not mistaken) and i presume we are looking at a simular date this year so a push in their price could be on up to their release.

Q3 results for 2009 were pretty good especially the large rise in patients using Tysabri and hopefully this will rise more. Through October and November more progress has been made on how Tysabri should be prescribed and dosage levels for tests were also lowered and it looks like they may be getting closer to making it a little safer to use with less side effects. Hopefully they can as this drug can be of a huge benefit to people suffering from MS.

Personally I just don't like them. Kelly Martin (as featured on the Enron movie) doesn't fill me with confidence, and I believe industry at large sees him the same.
I'm all for rollercoaster shares, but I would say that anyone going into ELN needs to know what they're about and have done their research.
