Ok, I've just discovered that, if I want to type in Irish I can get letters with the "fada" by simply pressing "alt gr" & then whatever letter I'm using...

    áéíóú:)

so I was wondering does anyone know if I can get "äöüß" by doing something that's just as easy?

what I'm doing now is the cut & paste system with character map...but lately, it's sort of driving me insane:mad:

    I'd appreciate any info,

    Danke

All I did was make it so when I pressed a certain key combination I switched between the Irish keyboard and the German keyboard layouts.

Think you can do it in control panel somewhere, keyboard settings or whatever. Shift and something'll switch it. Then you just use the alt+gr.

After awhile I just downloaded a program to make a custom keyboard layout that included all French, German, Icelandic, and Scandinavian symbols which made life a LOT easier.. not sure the program's legal though so I can't link to it.
