    Howdy peoples,

Dropped my laptop and somehow managed to break the input for the cable to plug it in. Did a spot of googling and it seems to be fixable, I think you can get jack connectors or something for it  I'll take it to get it fixed during the week, but does anyone have any advice on what the best option for repair is? And what does it normally cost? It's an acer btw.

    Cheers!

Depends on the model of Acer TBH. Some require a new DC board and most require a new socket. The DC socket is very cheap but it is a time consuming process to repair. Most laptop repair places will be able to give you a quote over the phone.
