    Hi Guys,

I find it hard to sing Sweet Child in both D and Db, anyone ever made a back track in E?

    regards,

Musical philistine here but could you just pitch shift the track you have in D flat?

lol. I've managed to move the midi file to E, had to move the guitar bit up a couple of frets as well so it sounds a small bit strange. But if it means that I can sing it, it will do.

If the guitar bit is chords, then you should go learn about chord voicing, a.k.a. chord inversions. The voice is the king of musical instruments.

well I sing it in the lower register of my voice, not going higher than the original. I think it's a futile attempt though, it's very much Axl's voice that makes the song, particularly on the chorus. I get asked for it a lot, so I'm just gonna try it in a few different keys, record it, and see if it's passable.

Ah, you're going down the octave. Yes, good idea to try different keys, so that you can get closer to the original tone. You should be able to find something within a fifth below the original key.
