I'm looking for a decent lamp for night hunting with my CZ 17HMR I dont want to spend a silly money but would like a powerful/lightweight lamp to go onto the rifle. What should I expect to pay and what are decent makes/models? Thanks Mac

Lightforce are A1 lights and are not too expensive, seen the 140 or the 170 striker for something like 100 euro recently. One the lads had the particular site posted up. Thinks was gunners den, not sure. It's the battery packs that are the expensive part though unfortunately. Expect to pay anything from 120-200 euro for a good one.
I'm sure some the other lads here will have exact prices on them etc. Or check out www.shoot.ie ( Duffys in Galway) He has prices listed on the website.

Just orderd a lightforce in landers tralee yesterday had none in stock,have it next week,scope mounted light for my 17hmr about 100euro with battery pack about 200euro

Lightforce 140 would do for the HMR, but if you have or intend to get a centrefire rifle in the future then buy a 170 Striker and that will save you having to buy two lamps. Dimmer is a good thing to have also.
