Problem opening html files

I was clearing some space on my disk and I may have deleted something important as my MAC won't open html files- I get the sound but no image just a blank screen. I was clearing some space on my disk and I may have deleted something important as my MAC won't open html files- I get the sound but no image just a blank screen.

I think the files deleted were along the lines of :

veetle-0.9.14-intel.dmg

It says this is a disk image file?

I have emptied the trash- is this the actual problem does anyone know? Is there anyway to restore these files without having to get a whole new OS surely?

Okay- got it- I went to veetle.com and downloaded their viewing software and it's universal. Thanks anyway lads.
