Could some one assist me in programming in channel 83 into my VHF/UHF radio. I have been told that channel 83 uses the following frequencies 157.175 and 161.775

I am not too sure which frequency I need to program as the transmitting frequency on my radio.

    Many thanks in advance.

You will need to set a 4.60MHz minus shift on 161.775 & store all that in a memory to keep the settings.

Coastguard transmits on the high freq (your receive), you transmit on the low freq (coastguard receive), kinda like using an amateur repeater.
