Hi all I'm new here and looking for some advice, current tractor is a scruffy old IH784 and I have been offered a very tidy everthing working 1979 Same 120 4wd for 2000 stg. and don't know what to do as herself will def not let me have both and also have no idea about Same's as was brought up on Fords, Masseys and Zetors and the odd DB.
Type of work is working a 9 foot flail mower, bomford hedge cutter and assorted haymakeing equip.

From what I know of old sames they were a good basic tractor not much comfort or speed they will also fall apart with rust if left out in rain for a few years
I have one left out in the rain for a few years would be happy to get 1000 for it

Hi DF, No she's in south Wales and it'll cost about 250 euros to ship to Waterford so if I decide not to have her I'll let you know.

Do that lad thanks, is it at a dealers? can u post links to pics, dont worry il not go behind your back tryin to buy it ;)

As was said before, a basic oul lump of a tractor did give bits of front axle and propshaft trouble so noises from them regions could be costly if they go wrong, and yes they need to be housed or they will fall apart!!

Hi Dan, it's actually direct from a farmer that we were loading at last week and I mentioned that his tractor was in very good nick for her age so that's when he said he was selling her when he'd finished the silage as he was buying a leyland 4wd from his neighbour, but I'll see if he can email me a few photos.

Bought the Same tonight just as he was about to list on ebay so I'll get it home in a couple of weeks and see what I think of her then decide which one to keep or maybe herself won't notice and both will stay as I've been offered 150 acres for meadow next year so will either have to get contractors in or get myself some more kit to deal with it.
