Slow speeds with Perlico

I have had a broadband connection with perlico for the last 4 months or so, and I have been having consistently slow download speeds.

I have either have a 1 or 2 mb connection, not totally sure but when I am downloading off torrent, limewire or just regular stuff off the internet, my speeds never ever go higher than 115kb/s
I've tried forwarding ports for Limewire and Bitcomet, but have had no luck.

Is there something I can do about this or is it just down to the contention ratio of the connection?

Why does it say that your ISP is vodafone?

Sound like perlico might be throttling your connection...do you use p2p a lot?

If you only have a 1meg line then your download speed isn't too bad.

And if you test your internet speed while downloading or uploading then the result will not be accurate as the result will only show available bandwidth.

That's perfect speeds for 1MB. If you getting that in BT - be very grateful.

Why don't you know what speed your on? Your the one paying for it.

Can we see your line statistics please?

I think that 115 kb/s is meant to be 115 KB/s, which would be perfect for a 1 mbit connection in Ireland.

Nothing to see here I think. Especially with a speedtest that matches my own, and I'm on a 1024/128 package.

    Hi,

Can you email me your details please and I can check to see what broadband speed you have. My email is paul.woods@vodafone.com.

There are many factors that impact the speed of any broadband connection including the broadband speed you signed up for, the length of your telephone line from its serving exchange, the contention rate, quality of the line itself ....

If you email me your details we can check what speeds your line will support and if you're on 1Mb we'll upgrade you to 3Mb at no additional charge.

You can also then let me know if your issue is resolved.

    Best regards,

    Paul

    General Manager, Perlico
