A friend was telling me about this so called theory that Kurt had been murdered. The idea is that courtney love was responsible for it, I don't know much about the case to say much about it.
So whats ye're opinion on the matter?

Since when is blowing your own brains out called murder?

Kurt had been on many drugs, starting at the age of 4 with Ritalin which no doubt contributed to his depression.
Ritalin and percodan for example are believed to cause suicidal tendencies.

Even though Eldon Hoke "El Duce" claimed in the documentary by Nick Broomfield that Courtney offered him $50,000 to kill Kurt, I'm not convinced he was being entirely honest.

I mean, this El Duce character went on the Jerry Springer show claiming that it was OK to rape 15/16 year old girls at his Mentor concerts.
Being a so-called "friend" of Divine Browns pimp (who you also see in the film)...he's not really trust worthy material.

The fact Eldon was thrown in front of a train not long after the Broomfield interview, would make people wonder if it was Courtney getting revenge on him...

However, Nick failed to mention that it was also not long after the Jerry Springer show was aired on TV.

So, it could have been anyone.

My guess is Kurt was deeply unhappy and decided to end his life.

I dunno there are a few dodgey circumstances that surround his death. The biggest for me at least being that there were no fingerprints on the gun and kurt wasnt wearing gloves..to me this is prettty fishy.

There was some speculation about the very high level of drugs in his system, which theorists say would have prevented him from being able to fire off the gun. Then there was the location of the gun and shell casing. But there was never anything substantial enough to warrant further investigation.

The fact of the matter is, he was a drug addict, whose body could have built up enough of a resistance to drugs. So while the high level in his system would have disabled a normal person, it would only have given Kurt a normal high. Not to mention that he had ADD, and was also diagnosed as being bi-polar.

To be honest, theres very little to go on, but I'd be interested to see what others say

So why would the police cover for a murderer? There are people who believe Morrison was murdered, Elvis is still alive. Mostly, it is what it is.

Well theres two options really in my brain.

    1. Pay off by courtney love(less likely)
    2. Lack of substantial evidence at the time to open up a murder case when every thing else would point to a suicide.

Its still a deal breaker for me though, im not sure what happened either way but its fishy.

Also the shot gun was a long one so in order for Kurt (and the size of him) To actually shot himself where he did he would have to of used his toe's, But his two shoes were on... Small detail but it makes a difference!

does anyone else still have the Point tickit for the Concert on the day he died???

that was something I always found a bit wierd, he was supposed to be playin a gig in Ireland that evenin, what with timezones and the like there would have been no chance of him making it.

tis odd like, surely one of the Record company minions would have spotted that he wasnt around for his flight and been lookin for him. that and America has some of the most lax handgun laws in the world, the shotgun is an unusual choice if you had other options

Tour had been delayed for a few months after he had attempted to kill himself by overdose in Rome during the tour and all dates were to be rescheduled till later in the year.
